Many of us have had to adapt our workspaces over the last few months, with our living rooms and bedrooms suddenly becoming our main place of work. Whilst many of us are now returning to the office albeit to a very different type of office layout, others will continue to work from home whilst COVID continues to put restrictions on our day to day lives. Here’s how to make the best of your workspace to boost your productivity and creativity.
Make some space. Government guidelines are clear – we all need to keep social distancing, especially at work. If you’re working in the office, make sure you’ve been allocated the space you need to be effective at your job without worry.
Designate your workspace. If you’re still working from home, find a specific place where you can work – don’t just lie back on your sofa or bed, but try to work from a designated desk or your dining room table. It should be somewhere you can “leave” once your working day is done with the aim to maintain your work/life balance.
Make it pleasant. Lots of fresh air through open windows and the correct lighting in your workspace can do wonders!
