Google it! In an age where the internet dominates all, even if you offer your business card to a potential customer it’s likely they’ll be Googling your name to find out more. Ensure your social media profiles, especially LinkedIn, are well up to date and informative.
Get networking! Social media offers you the opportunity to connect to potential clients online – be part of the conversation in relevant online groups and demonstrate you’re a market leader in your field. Do make sure you’re using the right channels however to reach your target audience – not everyone uses Twitter or Facebook!
Post regularly! If you set up a new social media page, make sure you update it regularly with content – and make sure most of your posts are information led, rather than promotional! Ensure the information you share is useful to potential clients.
