Data Engineer
Location: Remote
Our rapidly growing agency client is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join their data science team on a permanent full-time basis. As a Data Engineer, you’ll analyse, report and measure performance across their clients to help their key customers scale revenue through paid media, data science and marketing automation.
Responsibilities:
- Organise raw data
- Build and maintain data systems and pipelines
- Evaluate business data needs
- Prepare data for reporting
- Combine raw information from different sources
- Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
- Improve data architecture and pipeline processes (ETL / ELT)
- Identify opportunities for data acquisition
- Develop analytical tools and programs
- Collaborate and with marketing teams, clients and data analyst
Skills and experience:
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
- Expertise in managing data pipeline platforms (i.e. Adverity, Matillion, Fivetran)
- Knowledge of REST APIs
- Technical expertise with data modelling in BigQuery
- Knowledge of programming languages and DE frameworks (Python)
- Hands-on experience with SQL database design
- Great analytical skills
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business or similar field; a Master’s is a plus
- Data engineering certifications are a plus
