It’s that time of year again, and work place parties are in full swing, celebrating the festive season! It’s going to be a mix of celebrations this year, with some meeting in person, but others opting for online get togethers amid Covid-19. Whichever way you’ll be partying withy our colleagues, how can you make sure you navigate the (sometimes) dreaded office party? Here’s our top tips.
Socialise! It’s time to unwind and socialise more closely with your colleagues, in a way you probably can’t day to day. Take the opportunity to find out more about those you work with and build good working relationships. Just remember to keep it professional!
How to handle your boss… It might seem odd letting your hair down in front of your boss, and it’s something you should consider carefully. Make an effort to be friendly with your boss, and don’t use the opportunity to talk about work, or that promotion you’ve been hoping for. Bosses need to let their hair down too!
Consider your actions. Yes, it’s a fun time of year, and it’s easy to get carried away. But if you find yourself having too much to drink at your office party, you might regret it in the morning. Take your time, make sure you eat, and behave!
