Organisational Designer (12 month contract)
Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid
Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Organisational Designer to join their team, on a 12 month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be a key subject matter expert in organisational design activities, collaborating closely with senior leaders, functional leads, and various teams to create and implement new operating models for the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a go-to subject matter expert on organisational design, providing proactive support to business leaders and colleagues.
- Deliver organisational design projects using the Organisational Design Framework, offering guidance, tools, and workshop design through each phase.
- Contribute to the development of the Organisational Design Framework by employing innovative design techniques and templates.
- Plan and support organisation design projects with business leaders, People Services Business Partners, and stakeholders, making recommendations and facilitating implementation.
- Take responsibility for the monthly OD Projects Highlight Reporting cycle, ensuring completion by project teams and producing a consolidated report for submission to the Organisational Design Group.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of organisation design initiatives, facilitating alignment and acting as a bridge between units on cross-functional design matters.
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive experience in organisational design, operating models, and business transformation, preferably in large complex organisations.
- Proficient facilitation skills, including designing and leading workshops.
- Ability to create momentum delivering results, coupled with effective storytelling and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, building relationships at all levels.
- Up-to-date knowledge of change management and organisational development tools and practices.
- Strategic and tactical proficiency, managing multiple projects and priorities.
