Get to know your audience. Who is your audience? What are their likes and dislikes? Before planning anything it’s really important to understand who you are trying to reach and what their motivations are.
What makes it interesting? Why should people buy your product or service? What’s your story? Consider what is your unique selling point, what your organisation is really all about, and how to share your story with your audience in a way that will resonate with them.
How will you share your story? This again comes down to who your audience is – it’s so important that you consider which channels are right for your PR campaign, otherwise you might end up not really communicating with your target audience at all!
Get the word out there. Build relationships with journalists and consider carefully where to distribute your press releases – again with your target audience in mind.
