Programme Manager- 7 month FTC

 Location: Mainly remote- 1 day in Milton Keynes office per month

Job Description:

 Our reputable client is currently seeking an experienced Programme or Project Manager to join the team on a contract basis initially. The successful Programme Manager will be responsible for developing and leading the Programme Office, within one of several programmes within the clients change portfolio. The Programme Office will be providing services across contract negotiation, technology, organisation design & development, and integration activity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate the effective and efficient operation of the programme management practices
  • Ensuring senior decision makers receive the information they require to enable them to discharge their responsibilities
  • The role will require leadership and development of the Programme Office team
  • Responsible for all programme reporting, standards and guidelines, methodology and process compliance, planning, scheduling, estimating, and costing, among other duties
  • Ensure that programme and project management policies and guidelines are fully adhered to within the Contract Change Programme.
  • Own and provide centralised, standard and consistent programme office services

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of establishing and running Programme and / or Portfolio Management Offices supporting large-scale technology and business change programmes
  • Strong awareness of modern system development and project management methodologies, practices and approaches and a strong understanding of the system development life cycle and business change approaches
  • Evidence of developing and maintaining good and effective relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Demonstrable experience of working effectively with Third Party system integrators and suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience of business drivers for change, pressures and value/realisation of benefits.
  • Experience of senior-level stakeholder management and communication including Board and Senior Leadership-levels.
