Information Rights Manager (FTC until 31st December)

Location: Remote with meetings in MK

Job Description:

 Our reputable client is currently seeking an experienced Information Rights Manager to join their friendly team on a fixed term contract basis. The successful candidate will carry out a range of duties to improve their compliance with Data Protection legislation following the implementation of the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The successful candidate will have an excellent opportunity to experience data compliance activities across a higher education setting an evolving regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a programme of information management and compliance training and awareness across the business
  • Provide advice concerning Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Implement the company’s obligation to provide a Record of Processing Activity
  • Support the Data and Information Governance framework
  • Support the Data Protection Officer and senior managers in pro-actively ensuring data protection compliance
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in relevant regulatory data compliance requirements to enable the most up to date specialist expertise, advice and guidance to be provided to stakeholders

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Recent relevant experience in the area of data protection
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work to deadlines
  • Experience and ability to carry out training in an engaging, accessible and clear manner
